White Flank Impala with a Bow at 40 yards!
Просмотров 1 тыс.7 месяцев назад
After a few days of looking for a White Flank Impala, I finally got a 40 yard shot! Anyone that’s hunted Impala knows they are notorious for jumping the string, so I aimed at the heart to give myself the best chance of a vital kill if he ducked my arrow! When I let it fly, he just stood there and took it! My plan worked and he was down in seconds, but I was absolutely floored that he stood stil...

    Big Fan! I currently run a 6x lense on a 40mm Bowfinger scope and it's great, but I would love to run an 8x lense. I purchased an 8x X-Focus 365 lense but can not get any sort of clear sight picture. I've tried all clarifiers from .5 all the way to a 3, and nothing works. Any suggestions?

    Your best coach as a shooter is your internal coach I like where your headed on that pod cast. Been a precision rifle/pistol since I was in college. I enjoyed it a lot but the mental game was a struggle in the beginning. I started late shooting precision compared to other people in college was competitive but soon hit a wall. It wasn’t for lack of practice either. It’s amazing how heavy 1oz trigger can feel when your afraid to miss the 10 or the X you know you can own. The interesting thing is while I did more practicing (some good some bad) 20-15 years ago I have done multitudes more effective honing of those skills just on my own for fun as a practice in perfecting my self. Wish I knew then what I know now. It’s an old hat saying among shooters “The best person to be in competition with is your self” sounds simple on the surface, but I think it turns in to a life long pursuit. Anyway thanks for the archery tid bits I dabble in that too from time to take as a relaxing break from other stuff. Tuning up my bow from being dormant for a few years I am by no means a competition archer just enjoy the honing of my skills back to where the were and maybe a touch better. Never messed with torque tuning or the pull through release but I am going to try it. I still mark my arrows with tick marks on the fletching so I know how they favor. 6 years ago I Left off at being able to hit stuff about the size of a quarter at 40 yards kinda reliably. Think I will apply some of your wisdom and see if I can do better this go around. Your journey has been inspiring. This is America still, it’s good to see some from the slightly younger generation post about the stuff there called to compete or go on a hunt in Africa. Apologize for the chapter book message just figured I would give a little back from all of your content.

    Do you believe that there is a possibility that your 2nd arrow has almost completed a full rotation? Making it seem as though it turned the opposing direction? A 3/4 rotation could make it appear as it's going in the opposite direction .

    • @PaigePearceinsight
      @PaigePearceinsight Месяц назад

      Nope. If you shoot close then take baby steps back you can watch them rotate micro amounts at a time. I’ve tested this many times so I already knew the outcome. I just didn’t want to shoot 3-5 shots per arrow to show the slow progression due to time. This was just meant to show people there’s more factors that go into this than just the twist direction of the string. Many people believe if they know their string twist direction they know which way every spine/size arrow will spin out of their bow, and I just wanted to show that isn’t true and any time building new arrows (different spine/ length/ size/ etc) they should do this test again. And I honestly don’t know all the factors, nor do I actually care because I just do this test every single time. But on a prior video I posted so many people were dead set on the fact it only had to do with the string twists so I just wanted to prove them wrong on that so they knew for future set ups.

    I only get slapped when I shoot split finger for some reason. I normally won’t get hit because my bottom three bow hand fingers are tucked into my palm creating significant gap between my arm and string. I’m still working at it…

    Paige , 1) when you shoot in your first axis, do you have your stabilizers on already? 2) When you shoot in your first axis, and you’re getting ready for Redding for example, would you start at 60 yds and then check 20 and 101 to make sure that you are still level? 3) When you get time, could you please make a video about this? It would be extremely helpful for all of us with shoulder andor elbow surgery/injuries. Thank you for all the educational work that you’ve already done.

    I don't know if these people realize this or not but I'm going to State the obvious because somebody asked you for the people that don't know what they're talking about haven't shot bow or anything all this is going to do is make them more confused because they don't know what the hell you talking about how about showing them that's how people learn you. It's like Hands-On training. But just imagine you don't know anything. You got the bow in your hand for the very first time. Are you trying to figure out how to do this stuff so you go online and this is the type of video you run into. For the people that don't know anything you're not helping them. The only people that know what you're talking about is the ones that already have the experience and have been doing it for a while. So this video was literally pointless. To be truthful. Trying to learn how to do the stuff from this video right here. You're not speaking to people that are going to sit here and watch your video that are trying to learn something . because they're going to look for video that actually gives them the information on what it is and how to do it and show it because the Hands-On training so they know what they're doing and what it looks like and not just somebody sitting there talking seen a bunch of stuff that only people that are experienced it balls will understand and know about quite frankly just thought I'd put it out there if their sentences that are the same I'm preciously illiterate and I got to fight with the stupid text to speak at all the time it stops on me I'll say a thing it'll say the sentences and then completely erase it say something different if it was a human I'd be in jail for the rest of my life right now cuz I'm going to beat that app to a open today don't everlasting sleep
